Why did you decide to pursue an MBA?

After 4 years of Management Consulting, I decided to pursue an MBA for two reasons. First, I wanted to open up my functional and technical experience over the course of multiple academic disciplines through a practical and applied method – namely the case-study method. Second, I wanted to be part of a truly global network of students and Alumnis of a top-tier business school to have friends as well as professional colleagues over the world which I can leverage on.

What was the hardest thing about the MBA application process?

The most challenging thing about the MBA application process was syncing the required application formalities such as the GMAT and multiple essays and references with the fact of being a full-time Management Consultant with intense working hours. What really helped here were motivation and the strong persuasion of being accepted into a top school.

Why did you decide to study at HEC Paris in particular?

Personally I think HEC Paris is the best business school in Europe. The alumni, curriculum, atmosphere and facilities are unique.

How have you profited from your experience studying for an MBA?

Being successful means being able to work with people of different mindsets – that´s exactly what the MBA is about. Getting state-of the art knowledge in all fields of business education (from classics such as Corporate Finance, Marketing and Strategy to the current topics of business life such as Entrepreneurship, Start-ups, Digital Disruption, Ethics and Business Plan Challenges)

Can you tell us a bit about what you're working on now?

Currently I am working for a leading Media Company within the Corporate Strategy Department.  I am currently responsible for enterprise-wide re-structuring and transformation projects and their implementation. Multiple of interesting and very exciting projects as well as different functional and strategic topics that require a broad interdisciplinary background is my daily life.

What challenges do you have working in this sector?

The global media industry is in the middle of a digital revolution. Online streaming is dominating the industry, allowing customers to watch what they want and when they want. This really opens new playgrounds for former market leaders and recent incumbents.

What are your plans for the future?

Staying healthy and happy!
