This course offers an overview of business and tax law in a global and international environment. While various business cases are discussed, and their role in managing a multinational company considered, this is not a course detailing the technical features of the business and tax law. Rather, this course is designed to provide critical thinking skills in the legal world. The course unfolds in a manner similar to the stages of facing actual legal and tax decisions at a corporate-executive level. This goes from choosing and working with a lawyer, and making the appropriate legal and tax decisions while not being a legal or tax expert, to learning how to deal with board level legal and tax strategy. At each stage, questions faced by international managers and their lawyers are asked and answered.
