Cross Disciplinary Program

These programs bring together the complementary subject areas of social sciences and management studies in order to provide participants with the global perspective and contemporary techniques that will help their organizations to compete effectively and flourish in a complex and ever-evolving international setting. They are designed to train leaders for international careers in both the private and public sectors. Participants may begin at either institution. The HEC period of study requires successful completion of the Core Phase and one period of the Personalized Phase, normally completed from September to mid-July.

FLETCHER SCHOOL OF LAW AND DIPLOMACY

fletcher

The HEC MBA and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University have created a Joint Masters Degree Program allowing students to earn both the HEC MBA and a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy at Fletcher (MALD). The program prepares participants for careers combining international affairs and management.

Participants may start their study at Fletcher either in September or in January. The regular academic year runs until May, but a limited number of classes are offered in the summer. There are no required or core courses, but MALD students are required to select courses in each of Fletcher's three divisions, and also within two fields of study. Students for either the MA or the MALD must also submit a  thesis.

- Option 1 : MALD

Fletcher requires three semesters of full-time study (12 courses) leading to the Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy (MALD) degree. Participants may begin at either HEC or Fletcher.
- Option 2 : MA
Designed for the mid-career professional, qualified Fletcher-HEC students may also apply for the MA degree, which requires two semesters (eight courses) of full-time study. MA students are not required to fulfill field requirements. Participants may begin at either HEC or Fletcher.
