Self-Assessment

The HEC MBA Program takes a dynamic approach to building careers that involves participants in a learning process, led by the Career Development Service. The HEC MBA Career Service is dedicated to building on your key competencies and places an emphasis on personal and professional development.  Career building is fully integrated into the HEC MBA curriculum, and the path is marked by five key milestones:

Milestone 1 - Explore:

Focusing on self-assessment and exploring career paths, you will transform your profile into a springboard for success.  This Milestone integrates the CareerLeader online assessment tool and includes self-assessment workshops with leading experts that will equip you to complete a first draft of your career plan.       

Milestone 2 - Crystallize:

Capitalizing on your experiences and learning from your fellow participants and alumni, you will sharpen your personal career plans. Our CV-writing workshops will allow you to gain useful feedback from your peers and from the Career Development Service.

Milestone 3 - Specify:

Using specific tools and coaching, you will develop a successful job-search strategy. During this Milestone, you will attend job-search workshops and receive guidance on how to build a network, manage relationships with potential recruiters, and excel at salary negotiation.

Milestone 4 - Implement:

Preparing for HEC Career Fairs and company presentations, you will gain hands-on interview practice. This Milestone will offer you the opportunity to attend campus career fairs, as well as HEC MBA international career fairs, and to conduct mock interviews in small groups.

Milestone 5 - Decide:

Participating in the organization of corporate events, you will finalize your career plan and meet with further recruiters and HEC alumni. You will attend recruitment presentations and conduct on-campus interviews that will help you clarify your career plan and steer your personal and professional development.
