Clubs and Associations

The HEC MBA Program is committed to supporting the development of student-run Professional Clubs that offer real preparation for and connection to target industries. All HEC MBA participants are encouraged to take advantage our wide range of Professional Club offerings, which allow participants to optimize their MBA experience, explore new career paths, and enhance their personal and professional networks.

The HEC MBA Program also boasts an array of social clubs and cultural events that allow participants to share and explore their diverse extracurricular interests. During Orientation week in September and January, a Club Fair is held where participants can join any clubs that interest them. In addition, the spouses and partners of participants are encouraged to join the MBA Partners Club, which can enrich their experience at HEC. HEC MBA Partners may also attend French courses, use the language labs, and take part in all other campus activities.

Howlett Claire

Claire Howlett, HEC MBA 2009 - President of HEC Women in Leadership

I had the privilege to receive a scholarship from Forté, a foundation which promotes career advancement for women. It seemed logical to me to give back, and, after the first few weeks on campus, I naturally found my place and took over the presidency of HEC Women in Leadership. Involvement in clubs requires time and energy, but it provides a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills and assert yourself. In fact, professional clubs represent more than a side activity; they are a cornerstone of the HEC MBA curriculum.

Vikram

Vikram Srivastava, HEC MBA 2009 - President of the Apple PodCast Club

The HEC Podcast club has given me a fantastic opportunity to work with a set of talented and dedicated people towards a common goal: to enhance our collective HEC MBA learning experience through the use of Apple technology. Thanks to the Apple HEC strategic  partnership, we have a great podcast infrastructure in place which has become an integral part of our learning process. Gaining perspective from Apple's top brass is an experience by itself.

Padman Jessica

Jessica Padman, HEC MBA 2009 - MBAT General Coordinator

Serving as 2008 MBAT General Coordinator has been one of the greatest high points of my HEC MBA program thus far.  As with any ambitious enterprise, the MBAT presents unique challenges and requires careful planning, strategic decision making and a concerted team effort to successfully achieve its goals. And the culmination of all of this effort? 4 days, 30 sports, 1500 participants from 50 countries - and the experience of a lifetime.

Goldstein Jonah

Jonah Goldstein, HEC MBA 2009 - President of Net Impact

HEC provides students with a great opportunity to go beyond the traditional scope of MBA studies by learning about and becoming involved with the principles and practices of socially responsible business.  Through courses dealing with the issues of corporate governance, ecology, and human rights, to the annual conference organized by campus sustainability group, Net Impact, we can begin our career path by aligning our goals with our personal values and ethics.

Cristina

Cristina Ledonne - President of the HEC MBA Partner's Club

It was difficult for my partner and me to decide to leave Italy and move to France, but we based our decision on two main factors: the well-known and respected HEC brand and the possibility to live on-campus in a multicultural environment. I was immediately attracted to the opportunities offered by the Partners' Club and decided to run for President. Within the club, we have built a true team spirit, and the group is strong support system for helping participants and  partners to adjust to their new lives at HEC.

Yann Soenen

Yann Soenen, HEC MBA 2009 - President of the Marketing & Luxury Goods Club

The HEC MBA Marketing & Luxury Goods Club complements my academic coursework and provides an ideal opportunity to get to know and get known by my target companies. Sharing my experience with my MBA peers, inviting executives and alumni to campus, organising company visits in Europe, preparing the annual HEC MBA marketing conference, competing in business games, and managing a multicultural team of 8 officers and 40 members provide daily opportunities to test my skills, refine my career plan and build my professional network.
