More than a sporting event, MBAT represents the largest annual gathering of international business-school students and unites over 2,000 participants in a four-day team-building competition. This year, players competed in 24 different sports, both individual and team, ranging from rugby to salsa dancing.
“The MBA Tournament is an opportunity for all participants and the HEC MBAs, in particular those of the organizing team, to test their leadership skills, adaptive capacity, and team spirit in real time. We look forward to welcoming all MBA participants to our campus ” says Valérie Gauthier, Associate Dean of the HEC MBA Program.
The MBAT, where more than 70 nationalities are represented, brings together tomorrow's business leaders in a challenging international setting that fosters the spirit of teamwork and fair play. Offering plenty of opportunities for networking and multicultural exchange and capturing the attention of media and companies worldwide, the MBAT is the premier location to find today's outstanding business talents, in a fun environment.
“The dynamic nature of this event is reinforced by the diversity of the sport competitions,” Valérie Gauthier said, praising the HEC MBA participants, who are entirely responsible for organizing the tournament. “Soon, these same individuals will be competing for jobs, but they will be better prepared, having formed new relationships here and having honed their leadership and organizational skills”.
The HEC MBAT's emphasis on positive management and social responsibility is reflected in the organizing committee's partnership with Fundacao Gol de Letra, an international non-profit organization that helps more than 1,100 low-income young people in Brazil. Since 2006, the HEC MBAT has donated a portion of tournament proceeds to the foundation.
