Campus Services

campusThe HEC campus is located on a 300-acre wooded campus, 20 kilometers (12 miles) southwest of Paris, where the culture, history, and charm of the French capital are easily accessible.

 

  • Self-Service Restaurant

    At our self-service university restaurant, participants can choose from several different types of hot meals, salads and desserts.

  • K-Fêt

    After eating, many students go to the snack bar on campus called the K-Fêt for a coffee or chocolate. The K- Fêt also serves sandwiches and salads, and is the venue for on-campus parties.

  • Internal Telephone

    Each participant living on campus has a telephone and a voice mail system in his or her room. Internal calls are free while external calls are billed at the normal telephone rates on a personal account protected by a personal access code.

  • Banking

    During orientation week, French banks are invited to the MBA building to help participants set up banking accounts at their nearby branches. In Jouy-en-Josas, participants will find a number of bank branches, including BNP-Paribas, BRED, LCL, and Société Générale.

  • Supermarkets

    Several large supermarkets and malls are within walking and driving distance of the HEC campus. In the nearby town of Jouy-en-Josas, there is a supermarket called ATAC, which is within walking distance. There is a large shopping mall (Vélizy 2) five kilometers away and an Auchan hypermarket. There is another large shopping mall in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines 10 kilometers away.

  • Computers

    Access to computers is available in the HEC MBA building, but most students already have a laptop or they buy one on arrival. In addition to a WiFi network, free Internet access is available from the computers in the HEC MBA building and the student rooms. The six computer labs on campus are equipped with PCs, scanners, laser printers, and multimedia equipment.

  • Library

    The Campus Library includes 60,000 books and e-books on management; 7,000 books on general topics; 3,000 student projects, theses, and working papers; 1,500 newspapers and periodicals, including 700 online periodicals; and access to more than 50 online business and academic databases.

  • Language Center

    The Language Center is open to all students and gives them the opportunity to practice French as a foreign language, Chinese, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish. The center is equipped with DVDs and videos with free access to linguistic tools films, cultural CD-ROMs, magazines and dictionaries.

  • Sports

    The 300-acre campus offers a vast number of athletic facilities, including 8,000 m² of sports fields consisting of a rugby pitch, two football fields, an outdoor track, tennis courts. Also available are a gymnasium with indoor basketball and tennis courts, a weight room, a climbing wall, a martial arts room, and a dance studio. A nine-hole golf course is located nearby.
