The HEC MBA Program trains high-potential managers to assume positions of international business leadership. Located in the heart of Europe, just outside Paris, our MBA program offers the best of all worlds: its human class size of 200 participants, combined with its ideal 16-month program length allows participants to engage in a transformative learning experience that will give them the tools to achieve their personal and professional goals.

HEC MBA participants represent 55 different nationalities and pool over 1,000 years of professional experience in a wide range of industries and functions. Our participants develop a multicultural perspective by working in close collaboration with classmates from around the world, and our graduates are uniquely qualified to take on leadership roles in global organizations.

Among the skills that define successful leadership is a capacity to manage in a positive, intuitive, and creative manner. At the HEC MBA, we understand that, in order to lead the businesses of tomorrow, our participants must master their communication skills, sharpen their intuitive intelligence, and develop an ethical vision of leadership that encompasses a strong commitment to developing sustainable business strategies.

When seeking internships, project partners, and employers, our participants benefit enormously from the full integration of our Career Development Service. Every HEC MBA participant receives job-search advice from alumni, consultants, coaches, and peers, before they are exposed to the hundreds of job recruiters who visit campus every year. Our dedicated career services team actively supports participants in transforming their MBA experience into a real-life career trajectory and offers a bridge to the job market, where a network of 40,000 alumni and more than 200 recruiting multinational corporations are waiting for HEC MBA graduates.

Our Community: International in essence

With more than 80% of HEC MBA participants coming from outside France, over 55 nationalities represented on the program, and 30% of participants being women, the professionals who join our community each bring a different set of educational and professional experiences to the table. As a result, the collective quality of workgroups, which are composed of five-to-six participants, is enhanced.

HEC has a standing faculty of more than 100 full-time professors, who are recognized as experts in areas such as Finance, Strategy, Statistics, Marketing, Management, Economics, and Human Resource Management. Coursework alone does not define the role of the faculty. Guided by professors, participants customize their MBA to meet their own personal and professional objectives. As a result, the ambitions and dreams of each individual are treated with the respect they deserve.

Our Identity: Strong culture and global reach

The HEC MBA is taught all in English. There is no need to speak French before joining the program; participants will learn it in-house, at their own speed. HEC teaches and trains participants to develop a global understanding of the world at large and business in particular. The core courses present economic, strategic, and managerial issues from different angles and give participants a more competitive and critical understanding of the world by questioning standard processes and values. They are, thus, better prepared to address cultural and national differences in the companies where they are destined to play a leadership role. Offered as an added option, the HEC MBA bilingual section allows those who wish to work in France or in a French company to improve their understanding and knowledge of French language and culture.

Our Philosophy : Individual, Interpersonal, and Collective experience

Participants are our ambassadors, representing the ethical values inherent to the HEC MBA Program. Our ethical standards start with the premise that the human touch is at the heart of business education, placing a strong emphasis on listening skills, judgement, and intuition as critical qualities for tomorrow's leaders. The HEC MBA sets people skills at the top of the learning chain, as these ultimately set our participants apart, both personally and professionally. We look for changes at the individual, interpersonal, and collective levels.

Our Vision: Experiential learning that molds leaders

To train a new generation of leaders, the Visions of Leadership initiative was launched to enable HEC MBA participants to interact with senior business executives. Comprising 8 to 10 seminars, Visions of Leadership enables participants to meet a different executive at each event. Our guest speakers have included CEOs, company founders, and high-profile executives from the business community, as well as accomplished artists and professional athletes. Participants get a chance to question the leadership attitudes and decisions of the speakers, while asking themselves about their own leadership potential. This is an integral aspect of the HEC MBA offering.

Our Credo : Building character through action

By serving the global community, HEC participants learn how to balance solid business skills with a higher ethical awareness and a grounding in corporate social responsibility. HEC MBA participants have shown by example that they serve the community both internally and externally

MBAT: Every year, HEC MBA participants host the MBA Tournament (MBAT) at the HEC campus, which gathers more than 2,000 MBA participants from the leading European business schools to compete in sporting events over three days. The MBAT offers a unique opportunity to establish business relationships with future clients and partners. Opportunities for networking and inter-cultural exchange are outstanding. Bringing together more than 70 nationalities, the MBAT places tomorrow's leaders in an exciting and challenging setting that fosters the spirit of teamwork and fair play. This event is a key moment in the curriculum, and all participants are expected to take an active part in it.

We have also integrated Positive Management as a key learning process throughout the HEC MBA Program, and we take a cutting-edge, holistic approach to building participants' ethical awareness. Participants have launched clubs and activities around the core themes of corporate social responsibility and sustainable development. These activities allow participants to connect with companies and individuals who understand the value proposition of positive management values and sustainable business practices.

As the number of women in our program steadily increases, several initiatives have been launched by participants to reflect their diversity, including the HEC Women in Leadership. This organization fosters an environment where women make networks in business. The HEC MBA Program was recently selected by the Forté Foundation to join its network of leading MBA programs. The Forté Foundation's commitment to diversity, its strength in numbers, and its innovative and dynamic approach make Forté a strong player in the MBA matrix. By joining Forté, HEC MBA participants will contribute to advancing women in leadership roles.

HEC MBA participants further develop their character through active participation in Professional Tracks that include Creative Academic Projects, Company Consulting Projects, Individual Professional Projects, and Mission and Action Projects. These options provide hands-on experience that activates participants' solid foundation in management and enhances their leadership skills, while transforming their careers.
