Is French an entry requirement for the HEC MBA Program?

No. French is not an entry requirement into the MBA Program. However, we recommend that candidates have a basic knowledge of French before entering the Program.

Foreign students, whose native language is not French, or candidates who have not studied in French, will have to take a French test, called TFI, upon entering the program in the Fall.

The purpose of this test is to define the participant's level of French and to determine what level of French courses he or she must follow: basic, intermediate or advanced. In addition to French, the MBA offers training in various other languages: Italian, Spanish and German. Other languages, such as Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, Russian and Arabic, may be taken at the Grande Ecole if your schedule coincides with class times.
